It's The PreGame!
...and some Tax Season gems!
Hey there, fam!
March is here and you know what that means... tax season! I'll admit, I'm not exactly thrilled about sorting out my taxes, but hey, gotta stay on the right side of the IRS. But let's be real, who actually enjoys dealing with finances? For me, it's like a mini panic attack every time I dive into it. Despite making strides in better managing my finances over the past year (shoutout to my financial advisor), that sense of dread still lingers. It's like finances have this monster-like grip on us.
Last year, after witnessing many of my freelancer and creative entrepreneur friends go through the same ordeal, I knew something had to change. It's not that we're scared of money, it's just that we never took the time to really understand it. I mean, we're creatives, not financial wizards, right?
So, I came up with the Creative Toolkit! What's that, you ask? Well, it's an annual event aimed at empowering freelancers and creative entrepreneurs with the tools they need to tackle the challenges of entrepreneurship head-on. From managing finances to understanding legal stuff and even prioritizing mental health, we cover it all. Last year, with the help of H&R Block and The Cloud Law Firm, we hosted an informative session where experts shared insights on tax filing, financial strategies, and legal considerations for entrepreneurs.

And guess what? We're back for round two! That's right, mark your calendars for March 30th in Brooklyn! Spread the word!
