BRB..and now what?
Exploring New Horizons
Well, the cat’s out of the bag—I’m on a social media hiatus! It feels a bit weird being so disconnected; I literally don’t know what’s happening unless it comes through email or from a friend. But it feels so good because I can hear myself think again. So many ideas are bubbling up, and I’m excited about what this sabbatical will bring.
Since making this decision, I’ve been getting a lot of questions: What have you been up to? Do you feel like you have more time? What are some things you do to fill your time?
Yes, I definitely feel like I have more time. I’ve been trying not to fill it with binge-watching shows. Instead, I’ve been dedicating a lot of time to activities like yoga (lots of it, lol), meditation, and catching up on some of my favorite podcasts (How I Built This and Acquired). I’ve also been taking fitness and dance classes, and exploring new hobbies like archery and surfing. Plus, I’ve picked up writing again—how did I forget how much I love it?
Right now, I’m on the hunt for a good read. If you have any recommendations, please send them my way!
In the meantime, enjoy those July vibes and your mix of the month!
Warmly,
Mehïka
Also my amazing friend Cat Lantigua published a new book Build It And They Will Come: A Guide To Architecting Intentional Community, which I’m so excited to read! Check it out!
