An August of Possibility!
Best recs for enjoying August and learning to trust a little more.
Lately, I’ve been reflecting on what it means to rebuild trust with yourself. When life takes you through so much, hesitation creeps in, you shy away from risks, afraid of feeling those same hurts again. But healing, I’ve learned, is also about giving yourself permission to lean back into joy and possibility, little by little.
This August, I’m leaning into spaces that remind me to trust again through art, through movement, through community, and by trying new things.
How have you been rebuilding trust with yourself?
“Just do it.” In this clip, Teya shares powerful advice for young entrepreneurs about moving past hesitation and trusting yourself.

1. Aspire With Bozoma Saint John: Why Playing Small Is Sabotaging Your Success (and How to Stop)
In this dynamic sit-down, Bozoma Saint John shares how trusting her gut and refusing to shrink took her from a junior assistant’s desk to the C-suite and beyond. She unpacks lessons from her Ghanaian upbringing, the language she used to claim credit unapologetically, and why ditching a rigid five-year plan opened the door to once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. If you’re ready to own your wins and make bold moves, this conversation is your playbook!

2. The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
I’m currently re-reading Le Petit Prince this month. The last time I picked it up, I was 12 years old. It’s a reminder that the deepest truths often reveal themselves through simplicity, wonder, and childlike perspective. Coming back to it now feels like meeting an old friend with fresh eyes!
